Stephen L. Barry is Of Counsel with Stagg Wabnik Law Group. With more than twenty-five years of experience as a trial lawyer and over thirty jury verdicts in all aspects of tort litigation, including automobile accidents, construction accidents under the New York State Labor Law, premises liability, medical malpractice, and intentional torts. Mr. Barry brings a breadth of knowledge to the courtroom. Further, having taken verdicts in fifteen different counties from Suffolk to Otsego, and from Richmond to Albany, he is not a stranger to New York courtrooms.

Mr. Barry's experience includes that of senior trial attorney for a mid-sized Westchester County firm concentrating on insurance defense. Before that, he was with staff counsel offices for a number of major insurance carriers. In addition, he has argued and briefed over a dozen appeals to various New York Appellate Divisions. He also gives seminars on employment practices litigation to insurance claims departments and trade groups.

Mr. Barry is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy program. He received his undergraduate degree from St. John's University and his law degree from New York Law School, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor on the New York Law School Human Rights Annual. While in law school he authored Note: The Forgotten Hatred: Anti-Catholicism in Modern America, 4 NYLS Hum. Rts. Ann. 203 (1987) and was a member of the Moot Court Association.

In addition to his career, Steve is a published poet, active in the Knights of Columbus, and most importantly, a dad.
